Airbrushed guitar/cheesecake

This is a Hamer bass guitar that I recently refinished. The original paint was severely damaged, so I removed all hardware, and stripped it down to the wood.

Once I had it completely naked, I applied several coats of primer, sanding between coats. After the primer was acceptable came the base coat. It was almost black, but at the last minute I went with white.
I spent a long time choosing the images for this, as I wanted them to fit the shape of the guitar. The painting was done with a Pasche airbrush, and then coated with several coats of clear.
After that, it was a matter of re-assembling the guitar.
